Menu:

latkes
applesauce
sufganiyot (jelly donuts)

Sufganiyot are the traditional middle eastern Chanukah food - more than latkes. The oil for the frying of both latkes and donuts is the critical part - remembering the oil that lasted 8 days in the Chanukah story.

 

Also that evening:
Miraculous Maccabee Party
for families with kids age 3-12
starting at 5pm til services and more after dinner!

5:00pm - 5:25pm
Make an edible dreidel and a Maccabee finger puppet, play dreidel 

after dinner 7pm - 7:30pm 
Search for the hidden jar of oil in the Temple
Play Maccabee versus Hellenist races and Peg the Hellenist
