The Rosenberg Case: An Illustrated Lecture by Jesse Waldinger
Tuesday, August 6, 2019 • 5 Av 5779
11:30 AM - 1:00 PMSocial HallOn June 19th, 1953 Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, having been convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage, were strapped into the electric chair at Sing Sing and electrocuted. Their execution was and still is controversial: to some the Rosenberg’s were traitors and to others martyrs. Were they guilty of spying for the Soviet Union? Did they deserve the death penalty? Join us as Jessie Waldinger explores the case in an illustrated lecture. The program is part of Temple Anshe Amunim’s “Lunch and Learn” series. Guests are invited to bring their own lunch; beverages and dessert will be provided. Admission is free for Temple members and $5.00 for not-yet-members.
